Our Founder Puppylove was founded by Ms Angie Tan in 2001. It was with her hard work and determination to bring positive training methods to Singapore that led Puppylove to become what it stands for today. ...................................................... Angie Tan, CPDT, CBC Angie Tan is the leading proponent in Singapore for the exclusive use of positive motivational techniques in dog training. She has the distinction of being the first professional dog trainer and instructor outside North America to earn accreditation from the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT), the only independently administered national certification programme for dog trainers in the United States. A graduate of the renowned San Francisco SPCA Academy for Dog Trainers and the Animal Behavior Center of New York, Angie specializes in helping owners with dogs that have behaviour problems. A Canine Behavior Counselor certified by the Association of Companion Animal Behavior Counselors and a member of the Association for Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) in the United States, she joins one of the largest association of dog trainers in the world. Angie regularly gives public education seminars on dog behaviour and training to schools and charities in Singapore. She also shares her expertise with the local SPCA, a non-profit dog shelter, conducting several in-house workshops for its staff and volunteers. She brought the latest scientific thinking in the field of dog training to Singapore with her commitment to continuing education. She has attended instructor seminars, courses and workshops conducted by internationally recognised animal behaviorists and motivational trainers, including Dr Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson, Dr Raymond Coppinger, Terry Ryan, the legendary Bob Bailey, a pioneer of operant-based animal training methods and Susan Garrett, Canada’s No.1 dog agility competitor and instructor.
